Japanese Swords

.Katana are called nihonto in Japanese. Katana were symbols/weapons of samurai warriors. Samurai warriors usually carried two swords: a short sword called wakizashi and a long sword called katana. Katana blades are curved and single-edged. They are made of Japanese steel called tamahagane, and skilled sword makers made strong and beautiful katana
